Biography on Dr. Douglas L. Gaker
Dr. Douglas L. Gaker is a 1985 graduate of the University of Virginia Medical School. He completed his residency in surgery in 1986 and his residency in urology in 1990. Dr. Gaker is Board Certified by the American Board of Urology in both Adult and Pediatric Surgery and is registered to practice by the State Medical Board of Ohio. He has practiced medicine at his Middletown Office since 1990. He followed his father, Dr. Louis B. Gaker into the practice of urology and was fortunate to work side by side with his father for a time before he retired.
Dr. Douglas L. Gaker is well recognized by his peers and pioneered one of the most successful prostate cancer procedures in the country. His professional affiliations include the American Medical Association, the American Urological Association, the Butler County Medical Association, the Cincinnati Urological Society, and the State Medical Board of Ohio. Dr. Gaker is considered "active to practice" by Atrium Medical Center and Bidwell Surgery Center in Franklin, Ohio, Southwest Ohio Ambulatory Surgery Center in Middletown, Ohio and Bethesda and Good Samaritan Hospitals in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Dr. Gaker and his wife Elizabeth are the proud parents of seven wonderful children and live on "If You Can" farm where they breed and train Morgan Horses. Dr. Gaker is also an avid bicyclist and enjoys tennis and golf.
